Good attendance is key to a child's success at school. However, there are times that a child is too ill to come to school. If your student will be absent from school for any reason, please make sure to report their absence as soon as possible.

When reporting an absence be sure to let us know:

• Your child's name
• Date of absence
• Your name and realtionship to the child
• Reason for absence

Absences can be reported in one of the following ways:

• Send a note to your child's teacher
• E-mail hammerk@fvsd.k12.ca.us
• Call the school office between the hours of 7:45am and 4:00pm
